We are now recruiting for an Operations Manager – Historic Buildings. You will focus on helping people to enhance their lives through history, culture and the arts.
You will be part of the team ensuring the smooth delivery of the cultural programme, events, exhibitions and daily operation across Newark Castle, the National Civil War Centre and the Palace Theatre, Newark.
Within the Operations Team, you will be responsible for historic buildings management. This will involve conservation management, interpretation of historic sites, asset management liaison and line-managing the cleaning team. The ideal candidate will be a strong team leader, with a background of operational management in a heritage setting.
This is an exciting time to join the team, as you will have a role in developing plans for Newark Castle, in the exciting transformation project (https://www.newark-sherwooddc.gov.uk/newarktownsfund/) and will work with colleagues to encourage more people to engage with the Council’s heritage across Newark.
