Emergency & risk network
Emergency preparedness and risk management can be challenging topics for museums to effectively manage on an ongoing basis. MDEM offers a range of support in these areas to ensure staff; buildings and collections are safeguarded as much as possible, no matter the scale of your organisation.
The Emergency and Risk Network (ERN) is for staff and volunteers who have interest in this area to access support, share experiences and develop resources.
Any member of staff or volunteer from a museum or heritage site in the region can join the network and all support is free to access.
The network is led by MDEM’s Regional Collections Adviser, Anita Hollinshead.
The network continues to seek and develop resources in emergency preparedness, including the creation of an Emergency Plan Template. Click here to view a list of resources which are free to download for museums and heritage sites.
By signing up to the network, you will be periodically emailed with opportunities and discussions relevant to emergency preparedness. By entering your details, you are agreeing to MDEM’s privacy policy.
MDEM will not share your contact details at any point without further explicit permission.
