Annual Museum Survey 2020/21 results

The Annual Museum Survey is an annual survey for all Accredited or Working towards Accreditation museums across England. It is delivered by MD England and managed by South West Museum Development.

The Annual Museum Survey 2021 national report reveals the far-reaching impact of the pandemic on 765 museums and their audiences, finances and workforce. It highlights the significant differences in how this impact has been felt across the sector, depending on key factors such as a museum’s region, or whether it is based in an urban or rural setting.
