Introduction

The Rockingham Village Hall Committee is seeking a bright, enthusiastic and experienced education specialist to develop an education programme for young school children. The programme will be centred on the village’s newly refurbished hall, which was built as a Victorian school room and educated local children for just over 100 years.

The programme will include education packs for teacher-led school sessions, resource boxes and a walking village trail leading to the village hall from Rockingham Castle, who also offer school visits and with whom we are partnering to offer a complementary education offer. Specifically we would like the education specialist to produce the following:

  • A walking trail (based on the existing village trail) aimed at Key Stage 1 and 2 children from Rockingham Castle to the village hall
  • Key Stage 1 and 2 education packs for teacher-led education sessions
  • 2 templates for freelance educator-led sessions
  • Creation of education resource boxes: objects and dressing up
  • Information to be made accessible digitally.
