Job Vacancies – Epworth Old Rectory

Epworth Old Rectory is the former home of the Wesley family, the founders of the worldwide Methodist movement. It offers inspiration and learning for all people, with particular significance for Christians as a place of pilgrimage. As an Accredited museum, it tells the story of Susanna Wesley and her family and their influence on faith and social justice movements throughout the world, with an emphasis on historic and contemporary women’s perspectives, holding a unique collection relating to Methodist women. In response to the challenges of the pandemic we are seeking to broaden our range of audiences, offering transformative and inclusive visitor experiences (both physical and virtual) and ensuring that this beautiful Grade I Listed building can meet the needs of 21st century visitors. We are therefore looking to recruit into the following roles:

Strategic Manager

14 hours per week

£32,000 pro rata (£12,106 per annum)

With experience in strategic management in the culture, public or voluntary sector, you will provide overall direction and management of Epworth Old Rectory, enthusing staff and volunteers in its vision and developing its strategy to fulfil its aims and ambitions. Visits and Collections Manager

25 hours per week

£26,000 pro rata (£17,563 per annum)

With experience in management of museum collections and public engagement through a range of media, you will be responsible for the visitor experience on site and online, collections care, audience development and volunteer management for Epworth Old Rectory. Administrator

7 hours per week

£10 per hour

With experience in office administration, you will be responsible for day-to-day financial matters, updating of records, correspondence, and public enquiries. Job description and person specification available here:
