With energy costs rising and with the pressure of higher energy bills looming, MDEM has put together the following sessions to help museums navigate the current energy crisis:
- Museum Energy Management: ‘Preparing for the Winter’ (18th October) Energy management specialists Pilio are delivering this online workshop to explore low and no cost interventions to help save energy in preparation for winter.
- ‘Winter is Coming’: Maintaining Collections Care Standards during an energy crisis (7th November)
A look at some of the steps we can take in our collection stores, exhibition spaces and offices to reduce our energy consumption whilst continuing to protect collections.
The Association of Independent Museums (AIM) have recently published their cost-of-living for museums survey results and they can be found here. They are also holding a webinar to go through them this Wednesday, 12th October. Book your place here.
