Want to help museums become more family or teenage friendly? Become a museum mystery shopper

We’re recruiting families and young people up to 19 years old, to go undercover and review how family/teenager friendly museums are. This will only involve a few days of your time, visiting museums and providing feedback on everything from what they sell in the shop, the kinds of exhibits even to their dressing up.

By participating in the programme you’ll be providing a vital insight for your local museums and helping to make a real difference. This is the first project of its kind for the East Midlands helping to make museums more inclusive for the future.

Perks include free museums visits, and spending money for the shops and cafes where applicable. As well as great experience for young people to put on their CV, it should also be great fun for all of those involved.

Who can apply?

We’re looking for ‘teen teams’ aged 16-19 as well as ‘family teams’ of two adults and two young people aged 5-15.
