The National Archives
The National Archives is responsible for the long term preservation of our collections. The National Archive programmes of environmental management, conservation treatment and research are focused on extending the usable life of the records. The National Archives website, is used to help disseminate their knowledge and experience and holds a database of collections care, handling, movement and conservation advice, specifically for documents.
National Manuscripts Conservation Trust
The NMCT helps preserve important manuscript and archive collections by awarding grants for their conservation.
