Emergency and Risk Network – spring 2020 Meeting
The Spring 2020 meeting of the Emergency Risk Network for the East Midlands will take place in the Learning Space at the Museum of Lincolnshire Life on Tuesday 17th March. This meeting is for new and current members of the Network – more information on this can be found on the MDEM website. Any heritage site or museum in the East Midlands can join the free to access Network which focuses on supporting organisations in all areas of Emergency preparedness.
Sara Basquill, Collections Development Officer, County Heritage Service, Lincolnshire County Council will give us a tour of the site and stores and talk to the group about the risks and problems they face, particularly in terms of having so many collection items on open display. After a discussion and lunch, she will demonstrate their disaster kits and show us the Regional Emergency Disaster store on site.
There will also be an opportunity to feedback on the first draft of the new regional emergency plan template which will be circulated ahead of the meeting.
Coffee will be available from 10.00am and the meeting will start at 10.30am. Lunch will also be provided.
The Museum of Lincolnshire Life is situated on Burton Road, Lincoln, LN1 3LY. There is a small car park to the front and side of the building and two pay and display car parks on Westgate which are a 5-10 minute walk away (situated at LN1 3AS and LN1 3BG).
