Developing Resources for Teachers @ Museum of London

Organised in partnership with the Sandford Cascade Project this session will share the basics of best practice in developing teacher resources for use during museum visits and in the classroom. The MOL learning team will give you an overview of their teachers’ resources and their research into the needs of teachers. You will see examples of gallery activity sheets and trails designed for primary schools and have the chance to explore the galleries and have a go at doing them yourself!

The session will be led by:

 Ashley March (Digital Editor (Learning))

Ashley joined the MOL in January 2018 having had a varied career working for Archives, Digital, Exhibitions and Front of House teams in both small and large museums. This experience, alongside spells in educational publishing and at a visitor attraction, has given him a useful range of perspectives on museum learning.

Nina Sprigge (Programme Manager, Primary Schools)

Nina has run the Primary School Programme at the MOL for 15 years. Before this she taught and played characters in numerous museums. Nina has also worked as a Primary School teacher and an actor, including running her own theatre company. She volunteers as a Sandford Award judge.

Who is this event for?
This workshop is aimed at paid staff and volunteers involved in delivering learning programmes at their museum or heritage site.
