Sulgrave Manor Volunteer Opportunities

Posted on March 19, 2018

About Us

Sulgrave Manor is a popular heritage attraction located in the lovely village of Sulgrave. The Manor is a fine example of a Tudor and Georgian house which was built and lived in by the direct ancestors of George Washington, the first President of the USA.

We’re looking for:

House volunteers – House Volunteer Role Description

Garden Volunteers – Garden Volunteer Role Description

Extra Information

    • Expenses: We’ll cover agreed travel expenses between home and Sulgrave Manor.
    • Hours and frequency:  Ideally, we would love for volunteers to commit to one day per week (Monday-Friday) 10-3. We would love for there to be a team of up to 5 volunteers on each day. We would also love for there to be a garden volunteer available on a Sunday when the house is open (April-September) to interact with visitors. This Sunday role may be fulfilled on a rota system where all weekday volunteers take turns.
    • Accessibility: All of the garden is at low level, so volunteers will need to be able to bend down and reach the floor to undertake this role.
  • These are voluntary roles
