Dealing with Mould
This on-line course will provide you with the knowledge of what causes mould, how to prevent future outbreaks and how to identify mould damaged items. It will look at the health hazards associated with mould and the steps you should take to reduce this risk. The session is interactive and questions are encouraged.
This session will be particularly useful for those who have identified new mould problems as a result of the lock-down period OR those with ongoing mould issues at their museum.
The course will be run by Lorraine Finch an accredited conservator with over 25 years experience in conservation. She has been employed in national museums and libraries, and for the last 15 years has run her own business, LF Conservation and Preservation.
This session is aimed at museum volunteers and staff in the East Midlands. Depending on the popularity of the event we may be able to accept delegates from outside of the region – however these places will not be confirmed till the week of the workshop. It will be run on the meeting platform zoom and joining instructions will be sent 24 hours in advance.
