Collections Management Traineeships
The Collections Trust and the Arts Council England have announced the list of successful applicants for the new Collections Management Traineeships Programme.
The 20 successful applicants are early-career professionals working in collections-focused roles in museums across England.
During the traineeships, which last 12 months, the trainees will be supported in developing a combination of practical collections management skills and competencies, based on the Collections Trust’s Collections Management Competency Framework.
The traineeships will involve workplace-based experience, CPD planning, mentoring and peer-support to help the trainees identify goals and develop their skills.
Speaking about the announcement, the Collections Trust CEO Nick Poole commented, “We could not be more delighted to announce the list of successful applicants for the Collections Management Traineeships programme. The programme was over-subscribed by a ratio of 1:3, showing the huge demand for professional development in the collections management community. We are grateful to the Arts Council England for their support in making the programme possible.”
