Revisions to the Accreditation guidance and the Collections Development Policy scheduled for February 2014 are now expected in late spring. Museums should continue to use the current materials on the ACE website.
Two useful example Forward Plans have been published on the Collections Link website at www.collectionslink.org.uk/programmes/museum-accreditation
Mentor support is being reviewed. Museum Mentors play an extremely important role and the Accreditation committee wants to ensure that mentor support is effective. Arts Council will provide details of the consultation and revised support materials shortly. In the meantime mentor events scheduled for January to March 2014 have been cancelled.
