This training and networking event is aimed at new and existing Museum Mentors and those interested in becoming a mentor to support Accreditation. It will include information updates, the difference between making a return and starting from scratch, top tips on how to mentor successfully and sharing the reality of Mentor challenges, lots of discussion time and a speaker of a topic of relevance to Accreditation. Lunch and all refreshments are included in the day

This day is focused on your needs as mentors – if you have hot topic you want to discuss then please email accreditation@culturebusiness.co.uk as soon as possible, so Fiona, the Accreditation adviser can get back to you to talk through ideas.

If you are thinking of becoming a mentor and have not dipped your toe in yet, again contact Fiona on the above email address. If places are available then potential mentors will also be welcome.

Travel bursaries

As in previous years Arts Council England will pay for travel to this training day up to the value of £100 per mentor. This will need to be supported by receipts (train) and mileage detail and parking receipts if you travel by car. Free parking passes will be issued on the day. All travel claim details will be sent out 3 weeks prior to the event. Please do book train travel as soon as possible to make best use of discounts.

Please note you can also claim for taxis within this limit. Therefore if you find it hard to reach the venue on public transport we will be able to cover upto £100 of the cost. We advise those travelling by train to get a taxi to Wollaton Hall, we will arrange return taxis for delegates to the station.

If you would like to book your place for this workshop please click register.
