Museum Accreditation – are you ‘Return’ ready?
S80 3LH
This interactive workshop will be a chance to ensure your museum is fully prepared to submit its forthcoming Accreditation Return.
Delegates will consider the requirements of the Accreditation scheme and make realistic plans for submitting returns to Arts Council England. There will be plenty of time for discussion and opportunities to raise queries and ask questions.
You will take stock of your organisation’s progress since its last return, explore the three areas of accreditation; Organisational Health, Collections and Users and their Experiences and understand the support and resources available to ensure a successful Accreditation return.
Delegates will leave with a deeper understanding of how they have progressed since their last accreditation return, a focus on how to respond to their areas for improvement and outline plans to enable them to successfully submit their Accreditation Return.
The day will be led by Accreditation Consultant Heather Lomas, who is part of the MDEM team providing accreditation advice and support for museums in the East Midlands. Heather brings a wealth of experience to the role, with specialisms in organisational health and collections development and management. Heather is also an Accreditation Mentor herself, for an independent museum.
Who is this event for? This workshop is for museums who are submitting their accreditation return in 2019/20 and is also open to Accreditation Mentors. We recommend at least 2 delegates from each organisation attend. For a full list of dates for accreditation returns please click here .
