Accreditation Mentors Network Meeting – East Midlands
This networking event is a chance to celebrate the great work that Accreditation Mentors do for museums in the East Midlands. Without Mentors independent museum would be unable to engage fully with the Accreditation Scheme and your support and guidance is crucial to the process.
This event will enable Mentors to get together and share experiences over a networking lunch, as well as be a chance to receive some training and development on the newly launched Accreditation guidance, with specific focus on governance.
Mentors will leave this event with an understanding of the key changes to the Accreditation Scheme and the implications this may have on both their own museum and the organisation they are mentoring. It will also provide a platform for discussion and sharing on key issues around governance.
The day will be led by Accreditation Consultant Heather Lomas, who is part of the MDEM team providing accreditation advice and support for museums in the East Midlands. Heather brings a wealth of experience to the role, with specialisms in organisational health and collections development and management. Heather is also a Accreditation Mentor herself, for an independent museum.
Who is this event for?
This workshop is aimed at Accreditation Mentors in the East Midlands. This is for both longstanding mentors and those which are new to mentoring as well.
