Collections care conservation environmental sustainability

The day will begin with an overview of the museum environment and recommended standards for collections care before looking in detail at environmental monitoring and the different equipment available, as well as how this links to Museum Accreditation. Then we will explore how to interpret the data collected and how to make improvements based on the findings. Delegates will receive a pack of handouts and details of where to go for additional information.

The afternoon will feature practical sessions, looking at how to take light, temperature and relative humidity readings, with advice on how to undertake these back at your museum.

We would encourage anyone working with a museums collection or managing the environment in a building to attend.

To book your ticket click register.

This workshop if aimed at accredited museums or those working towards accreditation. If the event becomes oversubscribed they will be given preference.
