Work with MDEM – join the Programme Board today!

February 15, 2022

It’s an exciting time to join the MDEM Programme Board, as MDEM transitions towards a new way of working; merging with West Midlands MD into a new Midlands-wide programme over the next 2 years.  We’re looking for people from all backgrounds and from all shapes and sizes of museums to influence how MDEM responds to sector needs and meets its contractual obligations.  MDEM is funded by Arts Council England and supports c. 124 accredited and Working Towards Accreditation museums.  The Board meets every quarter (mostly on Zoom/ Teams) to review the MDEM activity plan, discuss new projects and ideas, monitor progress against targets, and plan ahead.  Board members are great advocates for MDEM which is crucial as we move into a period of change.

For a copy of the Board’s Terms of Reference see the MDEM website and contact Board Chair; Franne Wills for an informal chat:

Closing date 11 March 2022

‘Being part of the MDEM Board has allowed me to ‘give back’ to the sector and share my experiences and knowledge in order to support a wide range of museum colleagues within the East Midlands. It has been a pleasure to be part of the group supporting the dynamic and successful MDEM team.’
Sara Blair-Manning (former Board member)
