It’s an exciting time to join the MDEM Programme Board, as MDEM transitions towards a new way of working; merging with West Midlands MD into a new Midlands-wide programme over the next 2 years. We’re looking for people from all backgrounds and from all shapes and sizes of museums to influence how MDEM responds to sector needs and meets its contractual obligations. MDEM is funded by Arts Council England and supports c. 124 accredited and Working Towards Accreditation museums. The Board meets every quarter (mostly on Zoom/ Teams) to review the MDEM activity plan, discuss new projects and ideas, monitor progress against targets, and plan ahead. Board members are great advocates for MDEM which is crucial as we move into a period of change.
