This short online session is run in partnership with Collections Trust and will provide an overview of inventory procedures for collections.

About this Event

In this bitesize online session we will review the Spectrum 5.0 Inventory procedure, exploring the minimum level of information required to ensure accountability for your collection. We will discuss how to prevent documentation problems as well as your own procedures for Inventory. Please be aware that there is some preparation required for this session – see below.

• Read the Spectrum 5.0 Inventory procedure

• Think about how you do things at your museum, and familiarise yourself with your museum’s procedure for Inventory if possible – we appreciate that many of you will be working from home and might not have access to this.

• You will also find it useful to have your Inventory procedure to refer to during the session if possible.

This session is aimed at museum volunteers and staff in the East Midlands. It will be run on the meeting platform zoom.
