Are there any associated grant funds?
Grants of between £250 – £2,000 are available to support all aspects of museum business. You can find further information here.
This current programme will run from April 2015 to February 2018. You can undertake the Business Diagnostic at any time, which will need reviewing annually. Grants operate every financial year.
What to do next?
Contact Heather Lomas, Business Development Facilitator to discuss your organisation’s eligibility and need.
How does the support work?
Museums are asked to complete the Business Diagnostic and then forward the completed diagnostic onto Heather Lomas. Heather will then provide support in creating an action plan for each museum. This will lead to further MDEM support where appropriate or signposting to other external help. Support is usually provided through training, grants and advice.
