Potential funding – ‘The Grand Tour’ project

May 21, 2014

‘The Grand Tour’ project links historic houses and collections in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire with contemporary artists.

Open to Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire arts or heritage venues. ‘The Grand Tour’ project offers financial support for contemporary arts/ heritage projects.

The project is being led by a consortium of organisations made up of Nottingham Contemporary, Harley Gallery at Welbeck, Derby Museums and Chatsworth. The consortium is putting together two exhibition packages for the summer of 2015 and the spring of 2016, which will create a nationally significant ‘must see’ arts and heritage offer and for which there will be specially designed itineraries and appropriate hotel packages to maximise overnight stays.

The consortium have secured funding from Arts Council England for this project and have some funds set aside to support artistic ideas around the theme of ‘The Grand Tour’ that other venues in these two counties could apply for.

This could be a really exciting partnership opportunity for any museum or historic house in these two counties, if they wish to work with a contemporary artist and their project fits the theme.

Your invitation to apply has arrived…
