Arts Council England (ACE)
ACE fund arts activities that engage people in England, or that help artists and arts organisations carry out their work.

Big Lottery Fund
Awards lottery money to community groups and projects that improve health, education and the environment.

Heritage Lottery Fund
Distributes a share of the income from the National Lottery to projects aimed at preserving and making accessible the nation’s heritage.

PRISM Fund
The Preservation of Industrial and Scientific Material (PRISM) fund awards grants towards the costs of acquisition and conservation of items or collections which are important in the history and development of science, technology, industry, and related fields.

V&A Purchase Fund
The Fund supports the purchase of a wide range material for the permanent collections of non-nationally funded organisations in England and Wales, available via Arts Council England.

Association of Independent Museums
AIM operates three easily-accessible grant schemes to help members with sustainability, conservation and training; AIM Sustainability Grant Scheme, AIM Conservation Grant Scheme and AIM Bob Harding Training Grants fund.

Old Possum’s Practical Trust
Offers small grants of between £500-£5,000 for projects which seek to ‘increase knowledge and appreciation of any matters of historic, artistic, architectural, aesthetic, literary, musical or theatrical interest.

Greggs the bakers – Regional foundation for grants programme

East Midlands Airport Community Fund
Up to a maximum of £2,000, is available to community groups for projects having a long lasting community and/or environmental benefit in the areas most affected by the airport’s operations. Priority is given to applications that demonstrate bringing the community closer together.

Trusthouse Charitable Foundation
Accept applications from local and national charities or not for- profit organisations which are addressing issues in needy rural areas and those experiencing urban deprivation. Trusthouse Charitable Foundation are interested in projects focusing on; Community Support, Disability & Healthcare and Arts, Education and Heritage.

The ‘It’s Your Community’ Awards Scheme
Led by the ‘Conservation Foundation’ in partnership with O2 to help support projects designed to improve local environments. The programme has four project groups; Community Places, Community People; Community Pride and Community Landscape. Grants are available between a minimum of £100 and a maximum of £1,000.

The Leche Trust
Offer grants to charitable trusts for assistance with conservation, preservation of buildings and their contents and preservation of rural England and the landscape.

The Foyle Foundation
Offers two grant schemes, the main grants scheme supports ‘Arts and Learning’, which offers grants of between £10,000 and 100,000. The second is a small grants scheme for charities with a turnover of less than £100,000 pa. Grants awarded are usually between £1,000 and £10,000.

Daphne Bullard Trust

Grants of up to £1,000 to small museums to help with the costs of social history conservation projects

Esmee Fairbairn Collections Trust
Focuses on time-limited collections work outside the scope of an organisation’s core resources. Organisations can apply for sums between £20,000 and £100,000.
