Curation and display of coins; Learning & Public Programming; Viking: Rediscover the Legend
University of Nottingham Museum
Friday 2 March
The Money and Medals Network exists to build and develop relationships between
UK museums with collections of coins, medals, banknotes, tokens and associated numismatic objects. Training days featuring seminars led by contributors from local and national museums are being provided across the UK with a view to sharing knowledge and expertise. Regional numismatic networks can then be set up as a result of these training sessions.
These free events are open to anyone working or volunteering with numismatics in UK museums.
In addition to the talks and practical sessions, there will be an opportunity to see
Viking: Rediscover the Legend (British Museum and York Museums Trust) and the regional exhibition Danelaw Saga: Bringing the Vikings back to the East Midlands
