Aurora Wellbeing Centres is a charity supporting those with cancer and long term conditions in the South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw areas.

An exciting opportunity has come up to provide administrative and project support to an innovative project exploring the connections between Heritage and Health, and the beneficial effects upon a person’s Wellbeing, at our Worksop centre.

The charity is based in the 1938 art deco Old Library on Memorial Avenue in the town. This listed building is a key part of Worksop’s social and domestic heritage and part of the project aims to restore this building to its former glory.

The job will involve supporting the Aurora Wellbeing Charity and the HLF Project Manager during the development phase of the Charity’s Heritage Lottery Bid; from inception to submission of the Round 2 application in spring 2017.

This is a key administrative role, providing project support to help deliver an important strategic objective in the charity’s ongoing strategic direction, and will allow the successful candidate to become involved in an innovative and potentially ground-breaking project.

At all times, the post holder will need to provide diligent cost effective project support, in order to meet the needs of the project. In addition to any core requirements, the prospective post holder should have some interest in history or heritage projects and be willing to offer up volunteer time for special events linked with the project.
