Support and Consultancy Sessions for the Heritage Sector – various dates
Giving to Heritage is funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund under the Catalyst initiative. The Project is run in partnership with the Heritage Alliance and The Institute of Fundraising.
Offering standalone support, guidance and consultancy, a one-to-one support surgery session provides the opportunity to review fundraising materials and implement strategies.
If you have previously attended a Giving to Heritage Workshop you may wish to use the support surgery to consolidate the knowledge you gained from the workshop and receive feedback from our Institute of Fundraising approved trainer.
Each session lasts a maximum of one hour. The surgeries will be held in London with Kim, or Market Harborough in Leicestershire with Karon. You can also request a telephone or Skype session should this be more convenient. If you would like materials to be reviewed, we request that these are submitted to heritage@institute-of-fundraising.org.uk. Please email at least two days before your surgery.
Who should attend?
Any member of staff, volunteer, committee member or trustee, or Heritage Open Day organiser from a heritage or community group; with responsibility for developing and delivering fundraising activities for a heritage project or organisation.
Surgeries can be accessed as stand alone-support, or as additional support following on from attendance on a Heritage Workshop.
Your trainers
Kim has worked with the UK’s largest businesses, high net worth individuals, trusts and foundations as a Campaign Manager for the NSPCC’s FULL STOP Campaign. In less than three years, Kim coordinated lead gifts and major events in the UK and Russia, to raise over £16 million for the protection of children. She is now passionate about sharing that experience and new knowledge by training and mentoring over 200 fundraisers annually.
Karon has over 10 years leadership experience as a senior manager in the voluntary sector. She has run both local and national charities, and her particular strengths are fundraising, change management and strategic development.
