Museum Development East Midlands Business Development and New Audiences programme jointly present:
Marketing and Media: ‘Sell your museum’
Reach your audiences with cost effective publicity – a workshop
Attracting visitors is vital to all museums – but lack of time, money and expertise can make that difficult.
Lively, interactive and practical, this free one day session will provide you with the knowledge and confidence to start promoting your museum more effectively.
You will gain an understanding of the key techniques, to position, promote and publicise your museum and develop your own plan of action.
This day is in two parts:
In the morning media expert Mel Atkinson will help you to understand the print, broadcast and online media, shape your messages for press releases and interviews to maximise coverage, build media contacts and plan a flow of good stories.
The afternoon session, led by marketing and audience specialists DBA, will provide you with the marketing essentials – understanding your visitors, effectively managing your visitor data, developing cost effective and successful ways to target and maintain audiences
Come along and share your challenges; leave with confidence and clarity on how to win new audiences.
This Free training day is open to all museums in the East Midlands.
The day will start with coffee at 9.45am and conclude by 4.30pm, lunch and refreshments will be provided.
