In it’s centenary year the Festival will pay homage to Lawrence’s novel, while offering a varied programme of over 70 events that celebrate his extraordinary life and works.
This years Festival will look full circle at Lawrence’s career as a novelist from his first to his last. Set in and around Lawrence’s birthplace of Eastwood, Nottinghamshire, the 2013 Festival offers a unique opportunity for people to see, enjoy and immerse themselves in the places that formed the backdrop to Sons and Lovers.
Take a wonder through themed exhibitions, creative taster sessions and open art studios, storytelling for little ones, outdoor concerts (perfect for picnics), Edwardian tours of chores or help build an Edwardian town, inspired Lectures and film screenings – only a handful of more than 70 events to choose from, ideal for a family day out, evenings with friends or just because you fancy something new.
