April 25, 2018

Join us for a one-day event in partnership with Culture Syndicates, sharing learning from the region with a look forward to the next four years of developmental support. It’ll be creative, informative and full of great oppotunities to develop yourself and your museum.

We’re pleased to be publishing the full agenda for the day – packed with inspirational case studies and development opportunities:

Agenda – What happened

Over the last 3 years, Museum Development East Midlands have delivered an extensive range of support to museums in the region. We’ve provided almost £650k in grants, ran over 50 training workshops and run several intensive programmes on themes such as greener museums, fundraising and engaging teenagers.

Join us for this one day event in partnership with Culture Syndicates to share the learning of the last 3 years. Featuring case studies, workshops and presentations on a variety of topics. Whether your focus is audiences or retail, collections or sustainability there will be a chance to share museum learning in this area with a look to the future.

The day will include:
– A look at the impact of our region
– Learning from our Market Town Museums network
– Information on the Resilience Syndicate internship scheme
– Creative opportunities to network and share learning

We’re pleased to be launching the next 4 years of working, and will be providing information on grants available and development opportunities. There will also be surgeries on the day for museums wanting to focus on specific projects.

Who should attend:

Due to the variety of themes that will be discussed on the day, any staff or volunteers are welcome to attend from an accredited museum or those working towards accreditation. If you are interested in accessing MDEM support in the next 4 years, we’d recommend sending a delegate to represent your museum.

General information:

The event is free to attend, and will include a networking lunch.

By signing up to the training you are agreeing to adhere to the MDEM terms and conditions.

Please note MDEM will be publishing a delegate list (minus contact details) ahead of the event.
